Corporations in India and the Middle East are using more efficient cooling which saves costs as it lowers greenhouse gas emissions, according to a briefing on the EP100 Cooling Challenge. Non-residential cooling demand is increasing as the world warms, and the Challenge helped forward-thinking businesses lead efforts to improve efficiency across offices, factories, retail stores, and hotels. Air conditioning is one tenth of global electricity demand, and this initiative, part of the MacArthur-supported Kigali Cooling Efficiency Program, aims to drive action in the private sector.
