
Funding, coaching, and technical support for 26 media organizations in Nigeria helped improve the relevance of their content, drive audience engagement, and diversify revenue streams. The Nigeria Media Innovation Program (NAMIP), from the Media Development Investment Fund, shared case studies showcasing innovations in the Nigerian media industry toward these ends. Working in cohorts, NAMIP participants collaborated to overcome challenges and increase revenue and growth since the program’s inception in February 2022. The program has helped organizations leverage technology and reach rural and vernacular audiences across digital, television, radio, and other platforms, as well as supported business development within the organizations.
