
A report by the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication finds that a majority of liberal to moderate Republican registered voters are now convinced that human-caused global warming is happening and are more supportive of several climate policies. More broadly, public support for a variety of climate and clean energy policies remains strong and bipartisan, with large majorities saying they support funding more research on renewable energy; generating renewable energy on public land; providing tax rebates for energy-efficient vehicles or solar panels; and regulating carbon dioxide as a pollutant.
