A report and case study by Elevate Energy (formerly CNT Energy) investigates the environmental, owner, and tenant non-energy benefits of three affordable multifamily buildings in Chicago. The MacArthur-supported report and case study, Preserving Affordable Multifamily Housing through Energy Efficiency, finds there are more reasons than reduced utility bills to pursue energy efficiency improvements: decreased operating costs, increased tenant comfort, and reduced rental vacancy among them.
