In testimony before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, MacArthur grantee Fundacion para la Justicia, in partnership with families of missing migrants, presented a proposal to the Mexican government to create a transnational mechanism to aid investigations surrounding Central American migrants who go missing in Mexican territory. The mechanism would allow families to remotely report a relative’s disappearance and to provide information that could aid an investigation.
