The first USA Editor Safety Cohort training program from MacArthur grantee ACOS Alliance (A Culture Of Safety Alliance) brings together a small group of editors to help foster a culture of safety in news organizations. Commissioning editors who participate in the course will focus on safety protocols for commissioning vulnerable or under-resourced freelancers and journalists. The editors participate in weekly webinars, one-to-one coaching sessions, and helps participants apply training to their own safety needs and practice.
