Metropolitan Tenants Organization, a MacArthur grantee, is launching an app called "Squared Away Chicago," giving renters access to new tool to communicate and document issues with landlords. The app will also allow landlords to manage connections with building tenants and respond more quickly to inquiries or issues. The data collected by the app will better inform policymakers of trends in the rental housing market. The app is available through squaredawaychicago.com and is the recipient of the 2014 Lumity Technology Leadership Award.
