Shehu Musa Yar'Adua Foundation and #PartnersUnited have produced short films on the costs of corruption and opportunities for accountability. In one, an investigation by TheCable found the Ikoyi Registry for marriages charged exorbitant "facilitation payments" on top of the normal fees, threatening financial ruin for young couples trying to wed. Since publication of the report, the "facilitation payments" have ceased. In another dramatic vignette, a fictional Minister Hakeem faces his own dilemma about corrupt use of funds. The MacArthur-supported series shows how demands for transparency and accountability can contribute to the reduction of corruption.
