Social media has changed the way teenagers learn, communicate, and participate in civic life. New technology and new ways of connecting with peer and learning networks has also created new concerns about identity, privacy, safety, and bullying. MacArthur Foundation and several Chicago partners brought together Microsoft Researcher danah boyd and Hive Chicago Learning Network Director Sam Dyson for a discussion on how social media is affecting teens’ lives.
