After a person with disabilities exposed discrimination during a town hall with A Fada A Cika on BBC Hausa, public pressure led Kebbi State in Nigeria to ratify the Discrimination Against People with Disabilities Act. At the town hall, the Governor promised to sign the bill, and he did so two weeks after the program aired.

The domestication of the bill protects the rights of people with disabilities and enhances representation in employment and political appointments. A Commission on Disability Matters will coordinate and hold the government accountable. With MacArthur support, A Fada A Cika helps constituents advocate for services, like this anti-discrimination bill.
