NM law 240

Work by the Pew-MacArthur Results First Initiative informed a new law in New Mexico that establishes requirements for evidence-based policies in the state. The law aims to shift state spending from ineffective programs to programs that have measurably demonstrated their effectiveness. The Pew-MacArthur Results First Initiative began partnering with the state in 2011 to support more evidence-based policy; since 2013, New Mexico has allocated approximately $350 million to evidence-based programs.
