Ten leaders who are advocates, artists, educators, organizers, storytellers, and community development experts received the Leaders for a New Chicago Award. The Field Foundation, in partnership with MacArthur, awards a no-strings-attached grant of $25,000 with an additional $25,000 general operating grant for leaders’ affiliated organizations. Now in its sixth year, the Award seeks to build a more inclusive city by recognizing leaders who are designing new and impactful approaches to civic discourse and action. The 10 leaders are bringing transformative change to their communities and advancing the racial and social justice movement in Chicago.
