Ten leaders have been named Just Tech Fellows to work at the intersection of technology and society, building equitable futures that prioritize humanity, well-being, and justice. The third cohort of fellows includes:
- journalist and technologist Todd Whitney;
- organizer and designer Miliaku Nwabueze;
- MIT Media Lab professor Danielle Wood;
- artist, researcher, and educator Romi Morrison;
- disability culture activist and artist Petra Kuppers;
- Yale American Studies professor Julian Posada;
- storyteller, artist, and scholar Dorothy Santos;
- artist Lauren Lee McCarthy;
- University of Maryland—College Park communications professor and Black Communication and Technology Lab director Catherine Knight Steele; and
- organizer, researcher, and Just Economy and Labor Institute managing director Kriangsak Teerakowitkajorn.
The Just Tech program, administered by grantee Social Science Research Council, provides two years of unrestricted funding to support researchers and practitioners imagining technological futures that advance social justice.
