The Social Science Research Council launched the Just Tech Fellowship, an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to imagine and create more just, equitable, and representative technological futures. The fellowship is designed not only to support a researcher’s work, but also to invest in their entire person and to build a supportive community. It covers two years of full-time research, and is augmented by robust supplementary funding to subsidize healthcare, dependent care, materials and equipment, and communications support. The MacArthur-supported program will also create a digital platform to engage audiences in the research and help reimagine the way society interacts with technology.
