The Sundance Institute and The Asian American Foundation (TAAF) partnered to introduce a new fellowship and scholarship to support up-and-coming Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) creatives for professional development in the film, theater, and TV. Grantees Sundance and TAAF’s annual Fellowship offers six AAPI artists an opportunity for learning and growth with a $20,000 unrestricted grant for their projects and individualized support from the Institute. Sundance Collab scholarships enables six creatives to pursue courses in their area of study, receive network and community support, and get feedback on projects by Sundance Collab Advisors. Support for these emerging artists aims to improve sustained AAPI representation across the film and television industries.
