The City of Chicago and the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy are hosting a climate summit December 4-5, 2017 that will bring together mayors from across the United States, Canada, and Mexico to outline each city’s respective commitments to the Paris Climate Accord through new programs and initiatives. MacArthur is one of the summit’s initial supporters. “As our national government turns its back on this critical global challenge, the summit is strong evidence that leadership is increasingly coming from local governments, along with states and the business community,” said MacArthur President Julia Stasch.
