Fifteen directors working on eleven projects across six countries received production grants from the International Documentary Association. The original stories bring journalistic practices into the documentary filmmaking process. In Armenia, Ethiopia, India, Japan, Russia, and the United State, they explore topics from the climate crisis to incarceration, and from civil war to midwifery. The documentary projects show the range journalism’s rigorous method of seeing and telling stories.
