The Transparency and Accountability Initiative is a collaborative of organizations that fund transparency and accountability programming, with the goal of empowering citizens to hold their governing institutions to account. MacArthur joined the Initiative as part of its On Nigeria program, which seeks to reduce corruption by building an atmosphere of transparency, accountability, and good governance in Nigeria. Other members of the Initiative include the Open Society, Ford, and Hewlett foundations.
