Demographic Data Collection Resources

This page is intended for use solely by grantees and impact investees of the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.

MacArthur is collecting demographic data from U.S.-based grantees and investees to better understand the organizations we work with and the grants and impact investments we fund.

We have contracted with the Urban Institute to administer a survey of grantees and impact investees on their demographic data and analyze the results. MacArthur program Staff will have access to individual organizations’ responses.  We will not, however, make individual organizations’ data public. Our public report on demographic data will continue to use only aggregate data.

This page provides resources that can help you understand why we are collecting demographic data, how we will use it, and the ways you can submit your organization’s information.

All MacArthur grantees and impact investees will receive by email a link to the survey when it opens at 11 a.m. Central Time on May 3, 2022.
