Walnut Way

Founded in 2000, Walnut Way Conservation Corp is a resident-led community-based organization located on Milwaukee's North side. Walnut Way serves Southeastern Wisconsin through an inclusive approach to address the impacts of redlining and other historical inequities experienced by communities of color in Milwaukee. It creates pathways to increase residents' awareness of the political process and how climate change impacts daily life. This award supports all aspects of the organization’s general operations.
