Count MI Vote Education Fund (d/b/a Voters Not Politicians Education Fund)

This award renews general operating support to Voters Not Politicians Education Fund (VNP Ed Fund). VNP Ed Fund strengthens democracy in the state of Michigan by increasing access to voting in the state and serving as a watchdog, community organizer, and trusted subject matter expert to ensure Michigan’s citizen-led redistricting process results in fair and impartial maps. VNP Ed Fund runs a citizen-led campaign with over 6,000 volunteers committed to working locally, particularly in places where voter turnout is low, to expand voter access and counter misinformation about the state’s electoral system. The Climate Solutions team prioritizes climate and democracy work in the Midwest to reduce barriers to participation in democratic processes that are essential to ensuring equitable climate solutions. This general operating award is part of the Foundation’s commitment to the Midwest Climate and Democracy Pledge.
