Founded in 1888, Utah State University is a land-grant, public research university. This project aims to deepen insights into how China’s leaders perceive China's power status, U.S.-China relations, and America’s and China’s roles in Asia. It will do so by conducting surveys of Chinese International Relations (IR) scholars, who serve as a proxy-measure of the Chinese governments’ opinion. To contextualize the survey results, the project will also evaluate major Chinese IR journals and books from 2000 to present.
