The U.S. Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF Global) is an independent nonprofit organization that promotes international scientific and technical collaboration, particularly between countries where official relations are strained. With MacArthur support CRDF Global conducts interviews for a research project on the 70-year history of scientific cooperation between the United States and Russia, including the Soviet Union countries pre-1991. The intended outcome of this award is to support CRDF Global’s effort to contribute to the literature on the nature of this cooperation, and shed light on the relationship between science and foreign policy.
