The Institute for Research on Race & Public Policy (IRRPP) at the University of Illinois at Chicago conducts, coordinates, and promotes research on racial and ethnic justice in the United States. Through a partnership with community-based organizations -- including the Arab American Action Network, Arab American Family Services, Syrian Community Network, and Middle Eastern Immigrant and Refugee Alliance -- IRRPP assesses well-being indicators for the Arab America population in Chicago. Indicators include health, employment, and housing, among others. The research project supplies the community-based partners with essential data to inform programmatic strategies and advocate on behalf of the communities that they serve.
