The University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business is exploring how behavioral economics can be applied to affect how policymakers and elected officials design and implement government interventions. This grant supports the exploration of multiple interventions in the application of behavioral economics to violence suppression and prevention as well as broader crime policy. The implementation and testing of each of the interventions will provide insights into the impact of behaviorally informed policy approaches in this area of governance and new ways to make Chicago safer.
