University of California, Riverside, School of Public Policy

A member of the University of California (UC) system, UC Riverside opened in 1954. It launched a School of Public Policy in 2012. With this award, UC Riverside convenes experts -- including policy and legal researchers, immigrant-serving organizations, and state and local officials -- to develop a research agenda on state and local immigration policy. The agenda considers innovative local initiatives and state statutes that enable immigrants to obtain professional and drivers' licenses, access health care, pursue higher education, and otherwise engage in their communities and the economy.
