United Way Worldwide

United Way Worldwide (UWW) is a well-known international non-profit with 1800 affiliate chapters across 41 countries. Its mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good. UWW intends to support the health infrastructure within hospitals and special centers to deal with the surge of COVID cases in India. The focus is to help these institutions provide urgent equipment, machinery and  consumables, which can build their capacity to address the rising cases of COVID and contribute to reducing the shortage of beds, oxygen, and relevant health care. This award enables UWW to support existing frontline individuals and organizations as they treat COVID victims from marginalized groups of society and improve the capacity of hospitals and special COVID care facilities.
