The United Nations University’s Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS), in collaboration with CARE International, will undertake a special outreach effort for its Guatemala case study on the impact of climate change on migration in the region. The case study is one of eight supported under a previous grant from MacArthur, as part of UNU and CARE’s research project entitled, “Where the Rain Falls: Climate Change, Food and Livelihood Security and Migration,” which examines the effect of changing rain patterns on the livelihoods of rural communities that rely on agriculture. UNU and CARE will disseminate their research with national stakeholders in Guatemala City, including government officials and policymakers.
