2022 (2 years 9 months)
$300,000

The UndocuBlack Network (UBN) was established in 2016 as a multi-generational network of currently and formerly undocumented Black people to help foster community, facilitate access to resources, and organize the Black immigrant population in the United States. It does this by developing the leadership and amplifying the voices of its members; by building power with and for its communities through community organizing, storytelling and narrative change; and by helping to advance policies that affect daily lives of Black immigrants. Having recently established itself as an independent 501c3, UBN is using this general operating support grant to grow its staff and strengthen its internal policies while expanding its network, carrying out activities to break the invisibility of Black immigrants in this country, and creating the conditions for them to thrive.
