Tides Foundation and Tides Canada Initiatives Society (TCI) leads and supports actions that foster a healthy environment and just Canadian society. TCI is a shared administrative platform providing governance, human resource, financial, and grant management for projects across Canada. The Arctic Funders Group (AFG) is a project of TCI. AFG has been operating as a funder collaborative for five years with the ultimate goal of increasing awareness and communication on Arctic issues for grantmakers in the region. Over three years, AFG Secretariat will use this grant to strengthen and expand the current network of Arctic grantmakers, design and carry-out one annual meeting and one annual learning trip to the Arctic, and explore the potential need and mechanisms for collective grantmaking on issues relevant to several funders.
