The Eco-Accountability Project, a project of the Sustainable Markets Foundation, gathers and disseminates research that promotes transparent and accountable policy debate around climate solutions. Support for the project helps ensure that consistent and thorough analysis is being conducted about stakeholders opposed to acknowledging and addressing climate change and that this information is shared appropriately with key climate advocates, allies, and policymakers. The Foundation’s support helps ensure the project continues to meet the demand for its research and analysis over the grant period.
The Sustainable Markets Foundation (SMF) supports non-partisan research, analysis, and policy development in support of a climate-resilient international security landscape. This award establishes the Climate and Nuclear Security Working Group (CNSWG), which convenes senior experts from relevant policy communities. The CNSWG identifies emerging trends in these two intersecting spheres and produces recommendations to inform policymaking in both. By bringing together experts from these two distinct but interrelated fields, this project builds bridges between them in an effort to establish a shared understanding of the nexus between climate and nuclear risks.
