The Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences (CASBS) at Stanford University uses intensive training institutes and multi-year projects and programs to bring together deep thinkers from diverse disciplines and communities to advance understanding of the full range of human beliefs, behaviors, interactions, and institutions. This award supports CASBS to establish an annual summer Institute on Diversity that deepens understanding of why diversity matters and builds a pipeline and community of young emerging scholars from backgrounds underrepresented in higher education.
