Socratus Collective Wisdom Corporation (Socratus) is an organization that uses design, technology, and cognitive science to create spaces for evoking collective wisdom for solving complex problems. Socratus’ novel theory of change and use of technology helps citizens and experts visualize a world that the climate crisis will create. This award helps Socratus create a Climate Citizenship Lab to increase the public discourse on the issue of climate change within India. It empowers citizens to address their local climate challenges and drive climate discourse at subnational and national levels, with an emphasis on scalability and replicability. To facilitate this, Socratus converts on the ground knowledge into narratives that enable translation of climate change into household issues. Socratus does that through citizen juries, data analytics, design, and other modern technologies.
