The Society for Conservation Biology (SCB) is an international professional organization for scientists and researchers dedicated to advancing the science and practice of conserving Earth’s biological diversity. This grant supports the 2017 International Congress for Conservation Biology in Cartagena, Colombia. SCB is increasing access to to the Congress’s fora and events in two ways: providing online streaming and recording of sessions and offering simultaneous translation and subtitles for English and Spanish speakers. The Congress furnishes new opportunities for exchange between conservation scientists and practitioners in the Andes Amazon and methods for dissemination of the latest scientific research to inform real-world decisions.
