Responsible Innovation Labs

Responsible Innovation Labs’ mission is to build the infrastructure, community, and narrative required for responsibility to become an essential mindset and operational norm among high-growth technology companies and their investors. It believes responsible innovation is a competency that can be developed and that is the right way to build. The organization has a coalition of more than 50 companies who have agreed to pursue two core approaches to responsible company-building including innovating intentionally and operating with accountability and transparency. Responsible Innovation Labs undertakes programming that animates the shared interests of its coalition members and aligns with the organization’s values, including advancing inclusive prosperity, building sustainability, respecting people, and championing diversity. For example, it has developed a set of commitments and a protocol for responsible AI standards for startups to guide the venture and startup ecosystem. The award provides general operating support to Responsible Innovation Labs.
