Established in 2006, the Resource Centre for Human Rights and Civic Education (CHRICED) is a nonprofit organization that uses civics, advocacy, and outreach to mobilize vulnerable and marginalized segments of the population. With this award, CHRICED supports the participation of Original Inhabitant-led and -centered organizations at the 17th session of the Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples in Geneva, Switzerland. The convening amplifies the voices and rights of the Original Inhabitants of Abuja.

Established in 2006, the Resource Centre for Human Rights & Civic Education (CHRICED) is a civil society organization working to promote human rights and the advancement of democracy. With the previous award, CHRICED, in collaboration with government and civil society partners, raised awareness about the dangers of corruption and how it impeded the delivery of essential social services in Kano, northwest Nigeria, by tracking constituency projects and related activities. With this final award, CHRICED strengthens the skills of activists, community leaders, youth, women, and social influencers to track constituency projects and general governance processes. CHRICED also conducts organizational strengthening activities to enhance institutional resilience towards the sustainability of its mission beyond the lifespan of the On Nigeria program. The project contributes to On Nigeria's goal of reducing corruption and enhancing accountability.

Registered in 2006, the Resource Centre for Human Rights & Civic Education (CHRICED) is a Nigerian not-for-profit organization working to promote human rights, the rule of law, democracy, and accountability. CHRICED already works closely with Original Inhabitants' groups in 17 Chiefdoms in Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory to design, implement, and evaluate project ideas that address issues of concern to the communities through an award for equitable recovery. With this additional award, CHRICED enhances the earlier equitable recovery investment with modern tools and technical assistance for the Original Inhabitant potters at the Ushafa Pottery Centre to reduce labor, reach bigger markets, improve the health and safety conditions for the potters, and lessen the impact on the environment. This award advances gender equity and social inclusion and builds Indigenous people's leadership skills. This award is a part of the Nigeria Country office's strategic intervention to promote social justice in Nigeria.

Registered in 2006, the Resource Centre for Human Rights and Civic Education (CHRICED) is a Nigerian not-for-profit organization working to promote human rights, the rule of law, democracy, and accountability. CHRICED is a present grantee of the On Nigeria program under the Joinbodi module. As part of its work, CHRICED has mobilized local communities to participate in resource tracking activities and civic duties, including voting during national elections and constituency project tracking. With this award, CHRICED coordinates, supports, and enhances the capacity of the  Indigenous communities in Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, known as Original Inhabitants, toward a resilient growth following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Resource Centre for Human Rights & Civic Education (CHRICED) is a Nigerian not-for-profit organization working for the promotion of human rights, the rule of law, democracy, and accountability. Registered in 2006, CHRICED's mission is to mobilize state and civil society actors to collaborate on fostering the rule of law, accountability, and the responsive use of resources for the collective well-being of the people. With this award, CHRICED works in Kano to strengthen diverse local voices and their capacity for identifying and prioritizing constituency projects in their communities. CHRICED also collaborates with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on tracking constituency projects, sharing lessons and feedback with ICPC and the community. CHRICED advocates for Open Government Partnership principles at the state level and complements other grantees by amplifying media and journalism cohort reports. This project is implemented in coordination with other Foundation grantees, in particular those that also focus on constituency projects and open government. The award is expected to strengthen the participation of marginalized voices, build community accountability practices, and contribute to a reduction in corruption.

Established in 2006, the Resource Centre for Human Rights and Civic Education (CHRICED) is a nonprofit organization that uses civics, advocacy, and outreach to mobilize vulnerable and marginalized segments of the population. With this award, CHRICED monitors and advocates for accountability in the flow and use of the Universal Basic Education funds in 50 schools in Kaduna State. CHRICED trains community actors including school-based management committees, parent-teacher associations, school administrators, teachers, students, and traditional and religious leaders to track and report on the Universal Basic Education Commission’s matching grant funding. The project contributes to On Nigeria’s goal of reducing corruption by building an atmosphere of accountability, transparency, and good governance.
