The Triibe
The TRiiBE is a digital media platform that is reshaping the narrative of Black Chicago and giving ownership back to the people. Its original works in journalism and documentary, alongside creative writing and video, capture the multifaceted essence of the Black experience in pursuit of truth and liberation. The TRiiBe is approaching its eighth year and experiencing a period of growth and national interest in its journalism work and editorial methodologies. Its five-year strategic plan lays out a path for the organization to be fully financially and structurally operational to execute its vision and contribute to the Chicago local news ecosystem.
The Triibe
Resilience Partners is a nonprofit organization with a mission to help individuals and organizations develop their technology, fiduciary responsibilities, and business practices. It serves as fiscal sponsor of charitable activities that educate the public, with particular attention to current events and public policies that affect the lives of Chicago residents but are not typically within the scope of media outlets’ reporting. Resilience Partners NFP regrants funds to support The TRiiBE, a for-profit free and accessible digital publication. This grant, supporting implementation of The TRiiBE’s Reshaping the Narrative project, will educate the public through news articles and multimedia projects that focus on systemic racism, community investment, government accountability, and Black history.
