Research and Information "Center Memorial"

This donation of $300,000 over three years to Memorial Research and Information Center supports a project to establish an online museum about political repression in Russia, with a special focus on the GULAG. The project will draw on the work of the grantee’s partner non-profits, specialists, and contributions by the general public. Foundation dollars will be used to fund salaries, consultants, computer hardware and software, and cloud service hosting. The proposal advances the Foundation’s strategy to enhance freedom of expression.
