Quinto Elemento Lab is a group of Mexican investigative journalists that has produced considerable high quality coverage of issues related to impunity in Mexico. With this award, Quinto Elemento Lab is working to make information about disappearances in Mexico more readily available and understandable through designing a searchable digital mapping of documented trends and new discoveries about disappearances; conducting investigative journalism; and training journalists.
