The Nehru Foundation for Development-CHETNA and the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) have proposed a project that will demonstrate a model of convergence of various public programs for youth to strengthen sexual and reproductive health education and services for youth. This project located in the state of Gujarat will demonstrate a comprehensive youth health and empowerment program to increase efficiency of services, improve quality, lower costs, minimize duplication of effort, create demand for young people’s health services and enhance sustainability of programs. CHETNA will be responsible for the implementation of the intervention, while PHFI will provide research inputs and evaluate the project.
To prepare and disseminate case studies of maternal health and youth reproductive health innovations in India (over two years).
To support production and dissemination costs of a special series in The Lancet on Health for All in India and an expert consultation on youth health programs in India.
