PEAK Grantmaking, founded in 2006 and based in Washington, D.C., works to transform philanthropy by elevating the field of grants management and empowering grants management professionals to lead the way in operationalizing equity-centered, values-driven grantmaking practices. PEAK delivers an array of peer learning opportunities from the CONNECT online forum to chapter meetings, learning cohorts, affinity groups, communities of practice, webinars, and the annual conference. This grant provides PEAK with support for general operations.

The Grants Managers Network (GMN) promotes operational excellence in grants administration, develops leaders and experts in grants management, and coordinates sector-wide efforts to reduce administrative burdens within foundations and on the grantees they serve. Based in Washington, D.C. with a staff of 12, GMN is the nation’s only nonprofit membership organization devoted to serving grants management professionals; its membership consists of 3,300 individuals in more than 1,600 grantmaking organizations. This award supports GMN's traditional core activities, as well as new efforts to respond to new demands from members, and is based on recommendations from the Foundation's grants management staff.
