Femme Frontera

Paso Del Norte Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in the Rio Grande Valley. It serves as the fiscal sponsor for Femme Frontera, which supports women and gender expansive filmmakers in the U.S.-Mexico border region. MacArthur funds will support Femme Frontera’s staff capacity to serve its filmmaking community. The intended outcomes of this work are a stronger set of support for filmmakers, especially women and gender expansive filmmakers who reside in border regions, and narratives that deepen the public’s understanding of complex social issues.
