New Media Advocacy Project

The New Media Advocacy Project (N-Map) provides a bridge between the professional human rights movement and the relatively young discipline of new media, digital video production, and social media. Under this grant, N-Map will support the use of video to advance human rights litigation and advocacy in Nigeria and Mexico.

The New Media Advocacy Project (N-Map) bridges the professional human rights movement, particularly human rights lawyers and NGOs, and the relatively young discipline of new media, digital video production, and social media. Funding supports its work with organizations in Nigeria, Mexico, and Uganda to enhance the effectiveness of local groups’ human rights litigation. In these countries, the project will contribute to the development of campaigns to implement court judgments and provide video evidence submissions in important human rights cases.
