New Buildings Institute

From the utility perspective, multifamily buildings are generally underserved by existing energy efficiency programs for a variety of reasons, including the lack of any consistent, measurable strategies that can apply across the diverse building types that make up the multifamily stock. The New Buildings Institute works to develop and communicate effective strategies for saving energy in the built environment. It will use this grant to create multifamily energy efficiency programs that gas and electric utilities can incorporate into their existing energy efficiency portfolios.
