Network AREWA24 LTD

Network AREWA24 Limited (AREWA 24), a Pan-African media network and production company that produces Hausa-language entertainment and lifestyle programs to inform and influence behavior in Nigeria and West Africa. With this final award, AREWA24 is producing and airing 26 episodes each of popular Hausa television drama series, Kwana Casa'in ("90 Days'') and Dadin Kowa (a fictional village). Both programs use entertainment to educate the public on the cost of corruption and to propagate messages to shift social norms and behaviors around corrupt acts. AREWA24 uses positive role models and highlights the gender impact of corruption to drive public discourse on the disproportionate cost of corruption on women and girls. AREWA24 is collaborating with other Foundation grantees to implement this project. The award contributes to the Foundation’s goal to reduce corruption in Nigeria through Nigeria-led efforts using behavioral change approaches.
