Nature and Livelihoods a local Ugandan civil society organization registered in 2010. Working jointly with community-based organizations and the National Forest Authority, this project aims to secure the long-term future of the 30,000 hectare Mabira Central Forest Reserve by improving ecotourism infrastructure and visitor experience and diversifying local livelihood opportunities. Community patrols of the forest will reduce activities that degrade the forest and mitigate human-wildlife conflict.
