Grants

2021 (1 year)
$1,000,000

Established in 1979, the National Immigration Law Center (NILC) is a national organization exclusively dedicated to defending and advancing the rights of all immigrants with low income. It pursues legal and policy strategies to challenge unjust laws that marginalize low-income and other vulnerable immigrant communities and advances systemic policy solutions designed to support immigrant workers and families. This general operating support grant will strengthen NILC’s operating budget as it addresses the immediate and ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on immigrants, helping to strengthen public health protections and increase economic support for immigrant families. It also educates the public on the role of immigrants as essential workers in the U.S. economy, fighting for workers’ rights and labor protections for immigrants.
