The National Association of Hispanic Journalists is an educational and charitable association dedicated to the recognition and professional advancement of Hispanic students, professionals, and educators in the field of journalism. The NAHJ International Training Convention & Expo will be in Hollywood, California, July 9-13. The convention attendees are comprised of journalism students, educators, Latino journalists and other media professionals from around the world who come together for four days of professional development, training, top-rated speakers and networking events.

The NAHJ International Training Convention & Expo will be at the InterContinental Hotel in downtown Miami July 12-15. The convention attendees are comprised of journalism students, educators, Latino journalists and other media professionals from around the world who come together for four days of professional development, training, top-rated speakers and networking events.
The National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) is a nonprofit organization with the mission of advocating for Latinx journalists working across media in the United States and in 21 other countries. It has more than 4,100 members, 28 professional local chapters, and 25 student chapters. NAHJ’s work includes providing professional development and peer support opportunities for Latinx journalists, stewarding the next generation of journalists with internships and mentorship programs, and through their online platform, palabra, which creates an opportunity for NAHJ freelance journalists to generate and distribute stories about climate change, politics, culture, and COVID-19. This grant is recommended as general operating support and the intended outcomes are more holistic support for Latinx journalists in the United States and Puerto Rico to build careers, leading to more accurate representation of Latinx communities in the media writ large.
