The Muhammad Ali Center is a cultural center that promotes the Six Core Principles of Muhammad Ali (Confidence, Conviction, Dedication, Giving, Respect, and Spirituality) through programming and events around education, racial and gender equity, and global citizenship. America needs a fresh perspective on ways to rebuild civic engagement within our communities at both local and federal levels, and it is for this reason that the Muhammad Ali Center is launching its first Muhammad Ali Commission on Civility and Compassion. The Commission intends to bring together the voices and expertise of a vast range of respected leaders committed to compassion and civility, to draft a report that will include both grassroots and policy-based approaches to countering hate and divisiveness focused, in part, through a youth-oriented approach. This X-grant supports researching potential members for the Commission and organizing initial meetings of the Commission.
