Indigenized Energy

This award provides flexible project support to Indigenized Energy, a fiscally sponsored project of Mission Edge. Mission Edge supports nonprofits and small businesses to maximize their social impact, and currently hosts 31 projects. Indigenized Energy’s mission is to pursue tribal energy sovereignty through trusting partnerships and innovative programs that grow tribes’ capacity to unleash the power of renewable energy. This work benefits tribes by creating healthier economies and well-paying jobs, while honoring the belief systems of their ancestors, preserving the planet for future generations, and restoring a sense of hope in Native American communities.
